Citenook1About
Answers you can check, from files that stay yours.
Citenook makes a Mac app that answers questions from your own files and shows the exact sentence each answer came from. We are a small, independent company based in India.
Why Citenook exists
The answer to most work questions is already in a file you saved: a contract, an invoice, a note, a paper. Finding it means opening file after file. AI chatbots can help, but they want your files uploaded, and they don't show where an answer came from. Citenook does the finding on your Mac and always shows its source, so you can trust the answer and keep your files private.
What we stand by
Show the source
Every answer links to the exact sentence it came from. If your files don't say it, Citenook says so.
Your files stay yours
Files are read on your Mac. We never receive them, and the app has no analytics.
Your choice of AI
Models on your Mac, or your own key from the AI company you prefer. No lock-in.
Plain words
No jargon in the app, on this site or in our emails.
